A bad day for the Criminal Genius
We had an attempted burglary in the condominium where I live. There is a large semi-secure parking garage beneath the building, and every resident has a garage door opener to get into the garage. The clever would-be thief stole one of these openers out of someone’s car. He came back later, and used the opener to get into the garage late at night. The burglar apparently drove his car into the garage. He got out of the car, and started looking for stuff to steal. Someone saw him and thought he looked suspicious. The burglar panicked, and took off. On foot. Without his car (which was in the garage). And without a bag he brought, which apparently contained his ID. Both the car and the ID are now in police custody.

I always liked the one with the bank robber that wrote the demand note on the back of his own personalized deposit slip.
The study of criminology is interesting but it is a flawed study, since we only study the people that get caught. There are a whole bunch of smarter criminals that we don't even know about, and we haven't studied. (I think they probably share a lot in common with politicians though so maybe we do understand their thinking a bit).

Is Your Corporation Protecting You?
What an ass. You really have to wonder about some people and if they even have a 'thought process' at all. There was a local guy who, I guess on the spur of the moment, decided to rob a bank in a small town. It went well at the bank and he got a load of money. Then he blasted off, heading out of town in his old boat of a car. Halfway to the next town, he realizes he's low on gas, so he stops to fill up. Naturally, the police catch up to him while filling up. Fine example of 'poor planning'

Rob's right. Except the politicians, while of the more successful criminal mentality, tend as much toward fame as money.

I suppose if they had a bit of brains however they wouldn't need to steal now would they.

Fun story. Couldn't you keep the car and sell it on eBay? :-)

And it also shows how stupid we are when we Panic!
Thanks for the giggle, Andrew. Displays of humor, always attractive in a man. In fact, very beautiful women often desire to be with a man with a Strong Sense of Humor for her long term romantic relationship. It is one of the character attributes which I encourage in my male clients in my work as a Romance Coach and Online Dating Coach.
All the best,
